Atlantic Canada Airports Association retains Dunne Group as association management agency.
Agency will be responsible for day-to-day operations including marketing, public relations, and government relations.
(Fredericton) February 22nd, 2023-Atlantic Canada Airports Association (ACAA) has hired Dunne Group to manage the day-to-day operations of the association.
The ACAA is a not-for-profit organization with a board of directors representing thirteen airports in Atlantic Canada.
The move comes after the ACAA’s board examined all aspects of the association to address the future direction and goals of the organization and maintaining the association’s role as the respected voice of Atlantic Canada’s airports.
The ACAA’s former executive director, Monette Pasher, was hired as the president of the Canadian Airports Council, bringing her considerable experience to the national stage. This left an organizational gap and after a careful review the board decided to pursue an association management services model.
“Dunne Group’s Atlantic Canadian roots, experience working with airports and with government, and expertise in marketing and communications mean they are uniquely positioned to help our region’s airports achieve our goals,” says Johanne Gallant, interim chair of the ACAA and president and President and CEO of Fredericton International Airport Authority.
Based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Dunne Group has a depth of experience in marketing, public relations, government relations, special events and both traditional and digital marketing communications.
“Our region’s airports are critical to quality of life and economic vitality in Atlantic Canada. It is an honour to be chosen by the ACAA’s board to help champion the contribution that our airports make and to advocate on their behalf,” says Steve Dunne, president and CEO of Dunne Group. “We are looking forward to jumping in and delivering on the ACAA’s strategic goals.”
Dunne Group’s Nadia MacDonald will serve as the primary ACAA contact in her executive director role.
